I have been to a lot of weddings over the years being a videographer and I must say the one way to save your wedding ceremony is to rehears through everything!!!
HERE IS WAY!
The number one reason is have everyone that is apart of the ceremony there at rehearsal. The Officiant is the main one! I recently had a wedding where he was not there for it. He even showed up just 10 minutes before and did not even know the couple’s names or what was going on. Again this is why everyone should attend the rehearsal.
Number two! Go through everything 3 times! First is to figure out where everyone is standing, second to go through the entrance and exits, and final go through the run through of the flow of the entire ceremony. If anyone is still unsure of what to do at this point, go through it again.
Number three! And I tell this all the time, the bride and groom should look at one another holding hands the whole time. Live in the moment and just have a bubble with one another. You two are about to be married at this point. But also, everyone just sees your neck and ear including the photographer plus videographer. We are there celebrating you two getting married and capturing the day! We want to see your faces! And hold that kiss 3 mississippi’s! Quick peck is not enough! Kiss one another as everyone is cheering.
Lastly and finally, practices the dip for the exit! Go on youtube, tiktok, or wherever to l learn the correct way to dip. Then rehears together when you can! Make a date night of it while you also practice the first dance and I could get off into that now, but I’m sticking to just the ceremony on this today.
There are more tips I can give you, but these are the top main ways to save your wedding ceremony.
