Why I love First Looks

I have been to so many weddings over the years and I’m going to tell you the best part of the day.

It is the first look moment!

The moment is so much different than holding off to see each other til the ceremony. For some people they prefer to wait to see each other til then, but the first look moment of the day is my favorite. Having this moment is so powerful. One of the great times about it is that you two get to have more time together than just part of the day.

Add into your timeline!

It does not take away that moment walking down during the ceremony to see each other. It is a different feeling you will have. There are advantages to having it in the timeline. One of them is again seeing each other longer. It would be better to spend the day together than part. Another advantage is getting more photos and video done before everyone starts to show up for the ceremony. Having the first look, photos with each other, photos with family, private vows, ect.. done before will allow you two to be at the cocktail hour and the reception sooner. Other wise you are pushing all of that to after the ceremony and everyone is wait for you two to be done with everything.

Having a first look just make the day flow so much better than rushing everything together!
